SCHOLARSHIP

The Dana Palmer Scholarship was created to honor Dana’s deep desire to help people of outstanding character achieve goals they may otherwise have been forced to bypass due to a lack of support or financial resources. Dana believed strongly in showing up for others and consistently offered encouragement, guidance, and help whenever he was able. His actions reflected a genuine belief in people and their potential, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

In Dana’s absence, this scholarship stands as a continuation of that commitment. Through the support provided in his name, we strive to help students overcome barriers, pursue their ambitions, and move forward with confidence. The scholarship is rooted in the same values Dana lived by, including integrity, perseverance, compassion, and service to others.

Now in its 25th year, the Dana Palmer Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who exemplifies courage, citizenship, and athletic participation. Recipients are chosen not only for their achievements, but for their character and the way they positively influence their schools, teams, and communities. Each award represents more than financial support. It is a recognition of leadership, dedication, and the belief that character matters.
